Amanda W. Shapard, CPA

Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude from Valdosta State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.  She obtained her CPA license in January 2008 and became a partner with the firm in November 2016.

Amanda specializes in compliance and tax issues relating to the development, construction and management of multi-family housing properties and is currently the Affordable Housing Audit Manager.  In addition to her extensive experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credits, she has become the Firm’s primary resource on Historic Tax Credits.

Amanda has been the Intern Coordinator since 2010 and enjoys working with the tax season interns hired each year from VSU’s accounting department.  She is a member of the Accounting Advisory Board for Valdosta State University’s Langdale College of Business.  She currently serves as the President for The Haven Battered Women’s Shelter Board of Directors, as Treasurer for the Girls on the Run South Georgia Board of Directors, and as Treasurer for the Leadership Lowndes Board of Directors.  Amanda lives in Valdosta with her daughter, Emma, and toy poodle, Jacks.
